Data we collect (including Meta / Facebook & Instagram)

When you message our official Facebook Page or Instagram account, the platforms may share with us information needed to receive and reply to your messages. We explicitly collect and process, as applicable:

• Name (or display name) associated with your profile, when made available by the platform
• Profile picture (URL or reference), when made available by the platform
• Unique platform identifiers such as a Page-Scoped ID (PSID) for Messenger or an Instagram-Scoped ID (IGSID) for Instagram DMs, which we use to associate messages with the correct conversation in our systems
• Message content and related metadata (for example, timestamps) needed to deliver and log communications

We may also collect information you provide directly through our websites, forms, email, phone, or other channels (for example, name, contact details, employment history, and documents you choose to upload) as part of the recruitment process.

Purpose of processing

We use the information described in this policy solely to support driver recruitment, applicant intelligence (evaluating fit and follow-up in the hiring process), and unified communication management so our team can respond to you consistently across channels. We do not use this data for unrelated advertising profiling or purposes incompatible with recruitment and applicant support.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with service providers and infrastructure partners as necessary to operate, secure, and host the service, including:

• Supabase (database and related backend services)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Vercel (or comparable hosting and deployment) for application hosting, content delivery, and infrastructure

These providers process data on our instructions and under contractual obligations appropriate to their role. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of MurgEx, our users, or the public.

Security & retention

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including recruitment, legal compliance, and dispute resolution, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date at the top. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes notice of the updated policy, where permitted by law.
